Accredited Qualifications

Level 1 Award in Understanding Employment, Business & Enterprise

Designed to give learners knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of employment, business and enterprise. This qualification introduces the learner to the importance of entrepreneurial skills within business and encourages them to consider their own role in employment, business and enterprise.

Level 1 Award in Mentoring

Designed to provide the skills needed to become an effective mentor. The qualification will allow learners to try out their own mentoring skills, learning the boundaries of the mentoring role and the benefits that mentoring can bring to other people and the community.

Level 1 Award in Mental Health and Well-being

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners:

  • To understand what is meant by the terms ‘mental health’ and ‘well-being’

  • To understand different mental health conditions and treatment To know how to find support for mental health conditions

  • To know how to look after own mental health and well-being

Level 1 Certificate in Customer Service

The Certificate for Introduction to Customer Service provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed in order to provide effective customer service in a range of sectors; it also gives you the core knowledge of working within customer service and legislation.

Entry 3 Award in Equality & Diversity

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners to:

  • Understand the meaning of equality and diversity

  • Understanding the meaning of discrimination and prejudice

  • Understand how organisations can promote best practice in relation to equality and diversity.

Level 1 Award in Understanding Safeguarding for Work, Education and Life

Designed to give learners knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in work, education and life contexts. This includes the different types of abuse and how to recognise them, possible safeguarding issues caused by modern technology, the meaning of discrimination and victimisation and the importance of disclosing safeguarding concerns to professionals.

Entry 3 Award in Introduction to an Inclusive Environment

Designed to give learners an introduction to understanding the challenges to developing an inclusive environment, including how people feel marginalised when they are bullied or abused, how abuse takes lots of different forms and has negative impacts for the victim and the abuser, how they can make and keep healthy friendships and also how to recognise unhealthy friendships and know the action to take if they suspect someone in their own community is being abused.

Level 1 Award in Managing Personal Finance

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners:

  •  To understand the sources of income and expenditure

  •  To understand the need to balance income and expenditure

  • To know how to reduce expenditure

  •  To understand some of the products provided by banks and building societies and other similar financial institutions

  •  To understand the advantages and disadvantages of borrowing money

Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of the principles of keeping food safe. The qualification introduces you to key issues in food safety: taking responsibility for food safety and hygiene, keeping work areas clean and keeping food safe.

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety qualification is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of health and safety, hazards that can arise and some of the protection available against those hazards.

Entry 3 Award in Healthy Living for Well-being and Mental Health

The Entry 3 Award in Heathy Living for Well-being and Mental Health qualification is designed to give you knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of healthy living, including the importance of mental health, healthy eating and the principles of physical activity to support health.

Level 1 Award in Infection Control and Prevention

The Level 1 Award in Infection Control and Prevention introduces you to the principles of infection control and prevention in daily life. It considers the different causes of infection and how infection is spread. On completion of the qualification you will  be able to identify personal responsibilities and that of others in controlling and preventing infection.
